Ms. Jill has been in the childcare field for over 19 years as a lead and head teacher. She has worked with children from birth to preschool as well as special needs children.
Ms. Jill is responsible for the operation and instructional leadership at our school. She trains and supervises our staff, sets instructional objectives, and works to build a rapport with our parents. Ms. Jill knows what it takes to be an effective teacher, she encourages and expects all of the teachers at Over the Rainbow to follow the Grow NJ Kids standard of excellence. She is very passionate about mentoring our staff and providing a wonderful environment for children to learn and grow!
Head Teacher - Before and After Program
Laurie has been a world language teacher for over 20 years. She is certified to teach English and French. She also has experience in tutoring students in various subjects: French, English, Italian, Spanish, Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science. Laurie resides in Hamilton Township, NJ.
Ms. Brenda Gipson
Head Teacher, Pre K Room
17 Years at Over The Rainbow
Ms. Brenda is another loyal member of our staff at Over the Rainbow. She has studied Early Childhood Education and heads our pre-kindergarten room. A longtime resident of Bordentown, Ms. Brenda has three children and enjoys cooking, traveling and movies. Ms. Brenda’s youngest child is a graduate of Over the Rainbow, having attended from six weeks until five years of age.
Ms. Susan has been a preschool teacher for over 12 years and most of her experience has been with toddlers. “I love reading and telling stories to my toddlers as well as doing art projects.” Ms. Susan is a long time resident of Bordentown, and has 2 children ages 16 and 23. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, shopping and going to the movies.
Ms. Ruth has been a loyal member of our staff, and currently heads our Orange Room. She has been working at our center for 16 years and is a perfect caregiver for our youngest children! A longtime resident of Bordentown, Ms. Ruth believes in us so much that her son, Anthony, is a graduate of Over the Rainbow. He is currently attending Rutgers University in Piscataway. Ms. Ruth has an associate’s degree in applied science and is a Child development Associate. When not caring for our little ones, Ms. Ruth enjoys cooking, dancing, bike riding, long walks and old movies
This is Ms. Carmita’s first year with Over The Rainbow. Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she used to watch the children in her neighborhood when she was younger. This is where she developed her passion to work with and teach young children.
Ms. Carmita is currently the Choir Director of her church’s youth ministry as well as the Vice-President of the ministry. Ms. Carmita holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Additionally, she speaks three languages and in her spare time she enjoys reading, singing and writing poetry.
